Ultra Gals at Headlands Hundred

DSCN0081.JPG Kelly Ridgway post race of the 50-mile event with Olga Varlamova who is getting ready to pace her man for the next 50-miles of the 100-mile.

What a big weekend. A report on the pacing job at Headlands Hundred is forthcoming along with pictures. Just came by to post this image. I promised Kelly that I would put in on my blog when I took this picture. Here you go Kelly and you deserve it too for your awesome win on the 50-mile event. Kelly was first woman with a 9:09:59 and 8th overall. Way to go. When I got there she was already on her way to the bathroom to clean up and change. A report on her race is now up on her blog.

  1. What the hell did you wreck my name for, dude??!! I will not let it slide, even with the house key for the weekend of my choice:)

  2. Oh haha, oy! Ask Meghan how many times I've mispelled her name and "Meghan" is nothing like "Varlamova". Sorry lady. Hey so I actually looked up my address book to write your name instead of going from memory. What does this mean? It means that the name will also be butchered on the mail you are going to receive from me. I mailed back your phone charger today. Sorry again! Haha

  3. Hey Rick, you messed up my name too!! Whats the deal? I don't think I should let it slide either! My last name is spelled: Ridgway! I hope you had a great time pacing. It was fun to visit with you and Olga after the race. Oh, and nice pic!

  8. Man, if ever I'm in the place to run like hell during the last 10 or 20 miles of a 100 mile race, I know who I want to have as my pacer.

Congrats to your runner, Donald! He's tough!

PS. I signed you up for some spelling lessons, hope you don't mind. :)

  9. Meghan: Yeah Donald's fast and tough and he didn't mind me pushing him. Spelling lesson's you say, hmmm... so long as it doesn't get in the way of hiking and running! Maybe just lessons on focus and better multi-tasking.
